Mary Ann Behm has over 25 years of experience working in education, human services and non-profit.  For the past 6 years, she has been instrumental in using a systems approach to facilitate and lead two educational initiatives in Manistee (Launch Manistee) and Benzie Counties (BEST Benzie County) – both cradle to career educational initiatives with goals to increase preschool attendance as well as postsecondary education and training.   She is also currently working as the School Improvement Facilitator/Curriculum Director for Bear Lake, Kaleva-Norman-Dickson, and Onekama Schools.   She has served in the past as a School Social Worker, Special Education Administrator and Interim Director of Compliance for Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District (TBAISD) and Child Welfare Director for Child & Family Services of Northwest Michigan  A graduate of the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Social Work, she has worked at both the micro and macro levels; she also has an advanced degree in Special Education Administration. When she is not working, Mary Ann loves spending time with family and friends and running.
