What?

​This grant ​readiness ​w​orkshop equips ​rural organizations with tools and insights to compete for funding. Participants will learn what it means to be truly ​"​grant ready​", explore key funding opportunities for rural areas, and understand how to align local priorities with available resources. The session also provides practical guidance on developing strong, fundable projects​- from identifying needs and defining outcomes while discussing common components of grants. Breakout sessions will support project concept brainstorming and development.

Grow Benzie incubates prosperity by providing shared services and physical infrastructure to help local nonprofits, collaborative bodies, and small businesses thrive. Grow Benzie was awarded a Rural Readiness Grant by the MI Office of Rural Prosperity to provide grant writing support to local organizations in 2026-27 with in partnership with the Community Development Firm Lionbear Ventures.=
