Speak with Courage

Apr 15, 2026 • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Adaptive Leadership, Communications • In-Person Event

Offered by Traverse Connect, in this 7-session, hands-on, in-person class you will learn how to communicate with clarity, good storytelling, and incredible presence. Learn how to harness the power of our breath, body language, gestures, vocal tone, speaking tempo, preparation, and how a little vulnerability, humor, and storytelling is a communication game-changer.

An audience wants to be drawn in; they want to feel something and be called to action. They want to be moved, persuaded, and inspired; that all starts with our voice and our physical presence, way before the messaging even begins.

This class in instructed by local public speaking and performance coach Dana Black and is for female and non-binary identifying leaders who want to develop their authentic voice and gain confidence as a speaker in business and in life. The class consists of 6 in-person working sessions and a capstone public showcase at the City Opera House at the end of the class.

Apply by March 13. Cost associated. Eligible for support through Rotary Charities Learning Fund.
