Miriam Owsley is the Manager of Strategic Communications at Rotary Charities of Traverse City. She grew up in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes, and has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Northern Michigan. Miriam has developed the skills and practice of communications over a diverse career in community outreach, marketing, and event planning. Her work at the Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities, the Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network (Grand Traverse Conservation District), and non-profit Metro Health Hospital has prepared her well for her work at Rotary Charities.
Miriam collaborates with our staff, grantees, and other changemaking partners to tell the compelling stories that inspire action and lead to lasting community change. Miriam manages the promotion of events, resources, and learning opportunities, as well as interfacing with the public and media. As a fourth-generation Rotarian, Miriam serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Traverse City.
